Paying from an EVM wallet

Mint on Bitcoin, pay on your chain

Every mint on Ord·X can be paid from an EVM wallet — with the chain's gas coin or a stablecoin — and the inscription still lands in your Bitcoin wallet. Six steps, most of them once.

  1. Connect your Bitcoin wallet

Press Connect in the header and choose Xverse, Unisat or OKX. This is the wallet that receives the Ordinal — EVM pays, Bitcoin holds.

  2. Switch payments to EVM

Open Payment settings (the sliders icon in the header; on a phone, the menu) and flip "Pay with" from Bitcoin to EVM.

  3. Connect your EVM wallet

In the same panel, press Connect EVM and pick your wallet — MetaMask, Rainbow, Coinbase Wallet, or any wallet through WalletConnect.

  4. Choose the chain

Ethereum is selected by default. Change it in the chain selector to Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, BNB, Monad, Sonic, HyperEVM or Robinhood Chain; the mint page follows your choice.

  5. Pick the token on the mint page

Open the mint you want. The panel shows the coins that chain accepts — the gas coin plus stablecoins such as USDC or USDT where they exist. A stablecoin needs one approval first: the allowance asks for twice the mint price so a price move cannot fail the payment, but only the mint price is spent.

  6. Mint

Press Mint and confirm in your EVM wallet. Once the payment confirms on chain, the inscription is made and delivered to your Bitcoin wallet — watch it land under Account → Mints.

Fees: the EVM transaction pays that chain's gas; the inscription itself is paid for inside the mint price. The reservation holds for ten minutes while you confirm.
